We've long enjoyed the bicoastal aviation-themed collaboration series between two close friends in Monkish and Other Half. This year, a strange layover at Logan was added and an aisle seat opened up! Brewed with milk sugar and hopped with Citra, Mosaic, Motueka, and Simcoe, we added some Citra and Simcoe Cryo to JFK2LAX: In the Clouds as the finishing touch.
This Imperial Oat Cream IPA presents a golden yellow color with heavy haze. Waves of fruit salad-like aromas crash over the palate, offering intense notes of mango nectar, orange creamsicle, mixed berry compote, and juicy nectarine. Thanks to a generous addition of oats and a gentle application of milk sugar, the mouthfeel is plush, with a markedly well-hidden alcohol presence and a lightly sweet finish.
