Pow Pow
The idea for Pow Pow was born during a collaboration brew for Sierra Nevada's 2016 Beer Camp Across America when Sean Lawson and our own JC Tetreault were first introduced to lupulin powder.

Lupulin powder is essentially a super concentrated hop product made by flash freezing and then shattering intact hop flowers. In early November 2016, the team experimented with different ways of utilizing the lupulin powder in both the whirlpool and during the dry hop, taking into account beer and wort temperatures, contact time, lupulin powder temperatures, and consistency of the powder. For the re-brew of Pow Pow this year (2018), we made a few tweaks to the recipe in constant pursuit of improvement.

Pow Pow is hazy, pale orange in appearance and emits aromatic qualities of pineapple, peach, orange, and dried citrus on the nose. Bright flavors of honeydew, bubblegum, and a hint of honey are accentuated by a creamy mouthfeel and soft bitterness.
