We dove deep into the archives to hit refresh on a February 2017 classic with our Oklahoma friends at Prairie Artisan Ales! The approach to Imperial Stout brewing at both Trillium and Prairie has come a long way in nearly five years, so you'll encounter some tweaks this time around. Perhaps most notably, a bump up to a nine-hour boil vs. just two hours on batch one. The resulting increase in mouthfeel should experience it for yourselves.

Inspired by the classic Prairie Bomb!, this Imperial Stout is aged on Guajillo, Serrano, Pasilla, and Ancho Chili Peppers, in addition to Spaceship Earth's BOMB! Blend Coffee, cacao nibs, and both Ecuadorian and Maja Mexican vanilla beans.

Presenting an opaque, pitch black in the glass, TrillBOMB! offers an intense aromatic profile that leads with rich dark chocolate, creamy vanilla frosting, and mole. As the beer opens up, its deep complexity becomes apparent, serving up secondary notes of fresh-ground coffee, molasses, and a wonderful dried red fruit character contributed by the blend of chilis. Medium-bodied, comfortably warming, and mildly sweet, TrillBOMB! offers a unique lens into the improvements we've made with our stout brewing program throughout the years.
