At Trillium, we're committed to our New England roots through the support of local agricultural systems. Whenever possible, we look to source products grown by nearby suppliers. We've also fostered relationships with suppliers producing some incredibly high-quality ingredients all over the world. With Guide Post, we're bridging the gap by combining our favorite raw ingredients from both here and there, with the goal of presenting something that is singular, yet representative of each originating location.
With the latest interpretation of Guide Post, we revisit the Citra, Simcoe variant, but with some notable recipe tweaks. Replacing Wyermann Pilsner Malt with British Crisp Maris Otter and employing Citra Incognito™ in the whirlpool, the sensory impact is profound. Displaying a beautifully hazy goldenrod yellow color in the glass, we're met with aromas of white peach, orange juice, and mango pulp. Maris Otter's well-rounded bread dough character pokes its head out towards the back of each sip. A beautiful example of the impact that small recipe tweaks can have on a finished beer, Guide Post: Citra Incognito™, Simcoe finishes dry and highly refreshing.
