Daily Serving was born out of our desire to express intense, saturated fruit character in beer form. After thoughtful experimentation with Permutation 6.47 and 6.51, we found that the German Berliner Weisse style, with its delicate, yet fluffy mouthfeel and even-keeled acidity is the perfect foundation for robust fruit additions.
As we continue down the path of recipe and process tweaks, we've made some slight changes to the fruit profile of Daily Serving: Mixed Berry in order to coax out a new composition of flavors. Batch 2 features a simplified fruit lineup, with increased additions of the berries we wanted to shine through more in the glass. Pouring a beautiful figgy purple, the duo of boysenberry preserves and strawberry Starburst notes greet the palate upfront, with black currant's more vinous character rounding out each sip. Lush and medium-bodied, Daily Serving: Mixed Berry Batch 2 is an exercise on how treating similar ingredients in different ways can have marked impacts on the final sensory experience.
