Coconut Cake is a bold and decadent imperial stout brewed with a bevy of dark malts along with lactose and dark brown sugar. Inspired by one of our most loved summertime desserts and informed by our experiences working on one of our favorites from the Permutation Series, Number 57, Coconut Cake was conditioned on toasted coconut and Madagascar vanilla beans.
Out of the bottle, Coconut Cake pours a deep dark brown color with a mocha khaki head. Swirling the glass the nose is immediately greeted by strong overtones of bright coconut and luxurious vanilla beans alongside aromas of rich dark chocolate and brown sugar. Taking a taste, the palate opens with waves of mounds bars and brownie batter leading to notes of vanilla lattés and chewy dried dark fruits. A soft roast balances the sweeter tones of the palate with a slight, rounded bitterness. Viscous and medium-to-full bodied with a luscious, creamy mouthfeel, Coconut Cake is an indulgent treat to savor with each returning sip.
