After a long year spent in oak bourbon barrels, we are proud to present Barrel-Aged Vanilla Truffle, our imperial stout collaboration with J. Wakefield Brewing conditioned on luxurious Madagascar Vanilla Beans.
Out of the bottle Barrel-Aged Vanilla Truffle pours jet black in appearance with a dark khaki head. Bringing the glass to the nose, rich aromatics of brownie batter, charred marshmallow, and blackstrap molasses meld with an elegant barrel character of toasted oak, vanillin, and bourbon. Taking a sip, the palate offers endless layers of sticky toffee, chocolate covered raisins, luscious devil’s food cake, and smooth iced coffee tied together by wash of s’mores, crème brûlée and decadent notes of bourbon. Full bodied with a rounded and viscous mouthfeel, Barrel-Aged Vanilla Truffle has a long, warming and satisfying finish, inviting you to sit back and explore its nuances.
